John J. Sullivan is our choice for Wayne County Circuit Court.

John J. Sullivan is seeking the "open" seat on Wayne County Circuit Court.  He is a compassionate, hard working, dedicated public servant.  He has been an elected Wayne County Commissioner for the past 8 years and has served as the Vice-Chairman of the Commission for the past 4 years.  John has vast legal experience and has run his own private law practice since 1998.  He serves on numerous committees and boards throughout the county and has helped to oversee numerous county lawsuits and legal settlements.  John Sullivan, his wife, and three children are lifelong residents of Wayne County.

Judge Rudy Serra was appointed to the District Court more than 2 years ago.  He is a 4th generation Detroiter, former County Commissioner, Human Rights Commissioner, Civil Rights Referee and trial lawyer.  He was a Michigan Lawyer of the Year in 2000, and received the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Award from the Democratic Party in 2001.  He was a torch bearer in the 2002 Winter Olympics, taught at the University of Detroit and graduated from Wayne State.  He is a licensed social worker with a Master's Degree in Communication.  Judge Serra was rated OUTSTANDING by the Detroit Bar Association.
