Our Mission...Informing the Community

Southfield Chapter
Primary Newsletter, Issue #1, September 2005
Dear Voter:
Informed Voters of Michigan Political Action Committee Southfield/Oakland County Chapter is a group of informed voters from various backgrounds who live in our community.  In short, we are your neighbors.

We are committed to supporting candidates for federal, state and local offices who have demonstrated a commitment to working on issues that everyday citizens face such as: public safety, schools, childcare, affordable housing, decent healthcare and senior citizens programs.

Also, we support ballot initiatives, referendums and proposals that benefit our community such as: new schools, recreation centers, economic development projects, housing developments and road improvements.

In addition, the candidates that we support in judicial races must be committed to equality and justice for all of us.

Our candidates must believe in social and economic equality for all, regardless of race religion, etc.

Most importantly, our candidates must pledge to put us, the people first.  Also, the ballot proposals have to be in the best interest of the citizens and not big corporations or special interest groups.

Sincerely,

Ebony R. Davis,
Editor
